Brutal Poodle
Envisioned in a parking lot and realized in a claustrophobic jam space in a city equal parts splendid and unlivable, Brutal Poodle is a power-pop punk band from Vancouver, BC. The combined musical prowess of members John, Dustin, and Karmin creates a powerful and unique sound that pushes the sonic boundaries of what has been previously thought possible by a three piece. Utilising duelling vocals and at times frenzied and nearly out of control fuzz, Brutal Poodle brings to mind bands like Sonic Youth and Eric’s trip tempered with a brighter and cleaner exuberance. After playing their first show in 2017 the band released a steady hit parade of singles and an EP before heading into the studio with Jesse Gander at Rain City Recorders to record their debut album “Hi-Apathy”.
